the second of two new paintings on Birch plywood. these little guys are weirdly tough paintings for me to make. I work and rework them, destroying and rebuilding, being sloppy then being fussy. it’s a weird and often vexing process trying to sort out when is the time to stop. what was the right process to end on? being fussy, or sloppy. I never know. I just keep adding until one day…
