this is one of two new, smaller works that I’ve been hacking away at over the last few weeks. this painting has a bit of impasto and heavier-than-normal paint smear. getting loose with the palette knife. apply, repeat, smush, apply, slather etc, etc. and then balance with some atmospheric soft brush dustiness in top, sky-like.
