this is a cast concrete soap dish that relates to my larger scale sculptural work. concrete waves? surfing and skateboarding, mass, weight, minimal, reductive. these are made to order, one at time. each piece is mixed and cast by hand in my studio and consequently, thickness and overall heft, vary. let me know if you are looking for a specific thickness and i’ll try and accommodate. they have a studio logo deeply embedded in the reverse and cute rubber pads to keep them high and dry. they actually function quite well by keeping the soap above the channels where water will collect, hence dry, and since the channels are concave, the sudsy water won’t run all over the place. it’s functional. it’s sculptural.
